Biography

Joseph was born in 1721 in Springfield, Massachusetts, the son of Joseph Wright and Miriam Merrick. He was a cooper, initially living in Ware, MA. In 1749, he married Jane Cook in Hadley, MA and they initially settled there, raising together of family of x children. In 1779, they re-settled in Bloody Brook, MA. His wife Miriam died in 1790 there, and Joseph passed away there in 1793. He is buried with his wife in Sugarloaf Street Cemetery in South Deerfield.

After his death his sons, Westwood, Carmi, Moses, and Jonathan moved to the Adams area in Jefferson Co, NY in about 1802.
