Biography
Clara Nesta Richarda FitzGerald was 19 when she married on 6 Jun 1882.[1] Based on the date of marriage of her parents and the date of birth of her brother Desmond, she can only recently have turned 19.
Arthur Blennerhassett married Clara Fitzgerald on 6 June 1882 in the Glin Superintendent Registrar's District.[1]
Clara served as Voluntary Aid Detachment nurse during WWI. She cared for wounded on battlefields of France and in Lord Dunraven's hospital ship "Grainaig". She was awarded an M.B.E. for service during WWI. She received the British Expeditionary Force 1914-1915 Star or the "Mons Star".[2]
Clara's death does not appear to have been registered in Ireland, England or Wales.
Clara Nesta Richarda Blennerhassett of Ballyseedy, Tralee, County Kerry, died on 16 January 1945, and her estate passed probate on 29 May 1945 in Llandudno.[2]
