Biography

Dorothey was born in 1822. She is the oldest child and daughter of Jean Jacques Bronner and Catherine Weil.

She immigrated to Buffalo with her family and at the age of nearly eighteen, she was married to George P. Kehr. They had a large family. They always lived on the same block or around the corner from her sisters in the 9th ward of Buffalo (lower West side, which was historically the village of Black Rock).
