So it seems the best theory is still that it was Nancy's Mother(Regina Grunswald) who lived with Philip Dingus and Nancy McConnell in Southwest Virginia and is buried on their old farm.
We still do not know who Rachel HEAD was or how she fits in, unless you accept the theory that the name Regina GRUNSWALD somehow got retranslated into Rachel HEAD.

Anna Marie's will,a genealogical history of the
Kelker family by Egle and the will of Henry Kelker she is the mother of both Henry Dinges my ancestor and
Philip Dinges/Dingus..
Nancy's Mother was named Regina, when her father George died her brother was named as excutor of the estate decided to take the mother to his home in the valley. this would
account for the story of the mother being buried on the old farm.

Nancy McConnell, wife of Phillip Dingus, was born in 1780 probably in Ireland. Her death date is unknown but she did survive her husband and lived with her son William Dingus until her death. Her parents were George McConnell born 1735 in Ireland, died in 1793 in PA and Regina Head or Haupt. George McConnell first married Eva . His will dated May 8 1793 is on record at Dauphin Co PA. Nancy came from PA to VA with her brother George McConnell who married Susan Snavely. It is though that George McConnell may have been a half brother brother of Nancy but this is not known for sure by me. Nancy did have one son Thomas McConnell, who was born Jan 6, 1797 before she married Phillip Dingus. Thomas lived with them,. Regina, mother of Nancy was buried in the Phillip Dingus Cemetery as she had made her home with them. Nancy's brother George McConnell was High Sheriff in Scott County in the pioneer days of the county when Judge Estill was on the Bench.
George McConnell Sr father of Nancy, during the Revolutionary War was in the Lebanon Township, PA. he was an ammunition hauler during the War. I have him proven as a DAR Patriot. So far he is the only one I have on the Blair side of my family.
