Biography

Fanny was born about 1769 and is the daughter of William Snipes and Sarah Herndon. She died about 1851.

Parents: William Snipes, born 1730 in Virginia; died 1787 in North Carolina. He was a Revolutionary War Soldier. Mother was: Sarah Herndon, born 1735 in Prince George County, Virginia; died 1791 in Chatham County, North Carolina.
Grandparents (Snipes) were from England where they immigrated to Barbados Islands. They moved to Virginia and then to North Carolina. William owned a large plantation and slaves.
