Private Samuel Ackley served with 3rd Continental Artillery Regiment (1779), Continental Army during the American Revolution.

Samuel Ackley (Akley, Akely, etc.) was born at Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts on 17 July 1762 or 1763.^[1]

Samuel married at Topsham on 20 Nov 1791 Elizabeth Moody. They had at least 11 children, the first ten recorded at Pejepscot.^[2]
