I have previously seen James death date listed as 1830. However I believe he was still alive in Sept 1834 when Elizabeth John transferred to him his late wife's (Catherine John) share of her father's estate. Also the 1832 will of John Cosman names James and two of his sons as beneficiaries, so he must have been alive. I don't know when he died but it was after September 1834. His wife Catherine died in 1830
