Spencer Compton was a member of the aristocracy in England.
Spencer Compton KB was born in Northamptonshire, England.
Spencer was born in 1601.
His wikipedia article notes that Spencer Compton, with three sons, "marched out with his troops and engaged Sir John Gell, 1st Baronet and Sir William Brereton at Hopton Heath" on Sunday 19 March 1643[1] He was killed at the battle as a result of a blow to the head after being unhorsed and refusing to surrender.
