Christian,

In looking for more evidence on the connection to her parents, the geneanet link doesn't supply anything helpful in the way of sources. Then the cited Howland book doesn't identify Anne's parents, and only supposes that her maiden name was Rouse because they gave one of their children Rouse as a given name. I checked for a birth or baptism in the Marshfield VRs but had no luck finding a match on the birth date shown here. Do you have a primary source for that date? The Doty/Doten genealogy has little to say about her mother's information, and only gives her one child, the son John. I'd like to get hold of the Mayflower Families Vol. 11, part 2 (Doty "silver book") to see what it might have for Elizabeth's offspring before we attach Ann to any parents. But if you find further primary records to help prove the relationship, it would be great.

Cheers,
Bobbie

Hi Christian, I got a copy of the "Silver book" which covers Elizabeth Doty and John Rouse/Rowse and followed the sources given there. It provides no indication that John had any surviving children when he wrote his will. I've added a link to his will on his profile that shows his will, and added a synopsis to John's profile. It seems unlikely that Ann can be his daughter, or he would have named her in his will. But if you find any other supporting primary documents, please advise.
Thanks,
Bobbie
