Malinda was born in 1873, daughter of John Scott and Nancy Jane Scrivner. She married William Leander Tryon in 1894 in Oklahoma [1] and they had five children. William died in 1906 and she married Stephen Crehshaw in 1908 [2].
Research Point
Numerous surnames have cross-outs on the veterans payments to minors card attached in references. These include Crenshaw and Humprey. Crenshaw was her husband briefly after William died. She is thought to have married Harry Benjamin "Leonard" Humphry in 1912 but no documentation has been found.
