He was born a twin on 27 June 1891 in Mississippi, USA and their parents were (Mary) Alice (Casswell, 1860–1939) and John Thomas Pennington (1859–1934).

Glover Franklin Pennington first married about 1912 at Bear Creek, Alabama, USA to Nannie Lee Pariss or Parrish (1893–1930).

He was a street car motorman for Alabama Power Company from 1918 until 1933, when streetcars were discontinued.

Glover Franklin Pennington first married about secondly about 1932 to Mary Alma Simpson (1905–1994)

He became a barber in Sheffield, Colbert County, Alabama, USA.

Glover Franklin Pennington married thirdly about 1946 to Myrtle Kimbrough Sparks (1900–1965)

Due to ill health, he retired in 1951.

He died on 16 June 1968 in Columbia, Maury County, Tennessee, USA and was buried at Bethel Cemetery in Franklin County, Alabama, USA. [1]

Pennington Rites - Glover F. Pennington, Sr., 64, of 708 Atlanta Ave., Sheffield, died at 9am today at Columbia, TN, after a five-year illness.

Mr. Pennington, a retired barber, was a street car motorman for Alabama Power Co. from 1918 until 1933, when streetcars were discontinued. He then became a barber in Sheffield, retiring in 1951 due to ill health.

He was a member of Barbers Local #882, Sheffield and of the First Baptist Church, Tuscumbia. Funeral services will be at 2pm Monday at Brown Service Chapel, Tuscumbia with Rev. Wendall Klein, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Tuscumbia officiating. Burial will be in Bethal Cemetery, Phil Campbell. Surviving are ...

The body will be at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Florence Sasser, 1107 Columbia Ave., Sheffield, from 10am today until time for the services Monday. Active bearers will be Robert E. Clement, Melvin Gann, DW Fondren, Lloyd Sheffield, Otis McRight, T. H. Martin, J. M. Thomas, T. J. Martin and J. C. Sanderson. Honorary bearers will be Homer Russell, D. P. Brackin, L. A. Sisk, W. D. Whitehurst, Frank Mills, Bert Erwin, F. V. Hathcock, Dr. J. W. Caden and Bob Hammock. Brown Services of Tuscumbia in charge of arrangements. [2]
