Biography

Lewis H. Sheppard aka Shepard was born in 1790 in Midway, Georgia, the son John Sheppard/Shepard and Elizabeth Hutchens. Lewis H. married Elizabeth Norris Nov 26, 1810 in Williamson, Tennessee. His will was drafted about 1860, He passed away about 1869 in Hickman, Tennessee.

NOTES: from another researcher This Lewis Sheppard was not the son of Lewis Shephard Sr (1762-1819) and Joyce Culpepper. This man's parents were John Sheppard and Elizabeth Hutchins. This Lewis Sheppard was named after his maternal grandfather Lewis Hutchins. He moved to Middle Tennessee from Georgia, about 1810 with his parents and his uncle and aunt, Zachariah and Charity Sheppard Hutchins. Lewis remained in Tennessee when the extended family moved to Monroe Co., Mississippi, about 1819. When John Sheppard's Monroe Co., Mississippi, estate was distributed in late 1848, Lewis Sheppard, a resident of Hickman Co., Tennessee, was listed among John Sheppard's children.

Meady White married Worlely in Williamson county, 1812. Do you know if Meady was as son of Daniel White: Also, I think Cornelius Brown married Sally White, who was Elizabeth Norris's aunt.
