Biography

Ransom Ripley Bonney was born on February 5, 1816, in Paris, Maine. He is the son of John Bonney and Lucinda Bearse.

He married Arvilla S. Bridgham on August 1, 1840, in Buckfield. She was born on May 15, 1815, in Buckfield.

Ransom was a farmer in 1850 and 1860. By 1860, they had moved from Oxford, Maine to Poland, Maine. He worked in a paper mill in 1870 and 1880.

Arvilla shows up twice in the 1880 census, once in Poland, Maine, and again in Haverhill, Massachusetts.

Ransom Bonney died on November 13, 1888, at the age of 72.

Arvilla S. (Bridgham) Bonney died of apoplexy and coma on October 7, 1898, in Haverhill at the age of 83.
