Jessie was married to Celia (Brown) Cole (1785-1883) on December 15, 1803, in Shady Valley, Tennessee, by Rev. George White. [2]They had 13 children in 22 years.

Jesse was drafted in Carter Co., Tenn. Gen. John Crocker’s Brigade, Gen. Andrew Jackson’s Division
Capt. Cole and Company were employed most of the time in guarding Fort Armstrong on the Coora River near the Creek Indian Nation and in making roads and building forts. His discharge was burned with his house in 1854. [3]
Death
Jessie died on November 28, 1870, in Shady Valley, Johnson County, Tennessee, having lived a long life of 89 years, and was buried in Cole Cemetery, Johnson County, Tennessee. [4]
