Tarzah Harris Sullivan was a fine quilter. I have one of her beautiful quilts made from plain dyed flour sacks and sewn by hand in a lovely red and white chrysanthemum pattern I believe was popular in her day. She also bore a son out of wedlock and gave the boy, Quentin Kenneth Harris, to her mother Luci Power and her father Henry Harris to raise.
My great grandmother Tarzah was a quilt maker. I am the proud owner of one of her beautiful quilts passed down to me by my grandmother Francis Sullivan Shadrach. It is made of dyed flour sacks and is sewn in the Chrysanthemum pattern red and white flowers. It is fragile as it is nearly 150 yrs old. I treasure it.
