Celia was born in Tennessee about 1845 to Elizah Bradford and Sarah Robinson. Celia's marital life is complicated, as she married at least 4 times. She was both widowed and divorced, and had children with three of her husbands. Unfortunately, marriage certificates are scarce, and wedding dates are estimated by the birth of her first child with each husband.
In her first marriage to James Dennis Clark, that husband died the same year she gave birth to their son. Next, she married William Weaver and was widowed by 1880 with 5 children. Her third husband, Hugh Pearson Bullard, was 10 years her junior. They had two daughters of their own before divorcing. Lastly, she married Wesley Garrett when she was 65 years old. She collected Wesley's Civil War pension until she passed away. As a note of interest, Celia married Wesley in 1908, and earlier, her daughter Lexia had married his son Charles in 1902.
Celia live in Alabama, Texas and lastly Oklahoma, where she died in 1940, almost 16 years after her last husband.
