Biography
Samuel was born 17 Mar 1811.[1] He was the son of Joseph and [[Hartwell-382|Betsey (Hartwell) Luce.[1]
He married Louisa Peebles on 31 Dec 1835.[1] To this union would be born four children.[2] Louisa passed away 12 Sep 1862.[1][3]
Sometime prior to 1840 the family would remove to Michigan[4]
where Samuel would earn a living as a farmer.[1]
On 17 Jan 1866 Samuel married Ruth Slocum.[1] The couple would enjoy a 20 year marriage before Samuel passed away on 1 May 1886 in Ridgeway, MI.[1]
