Biography

Jean Similien's birth date is unknown. He is the son of Jean Bourg and Rosalie Lirette. Jean died Mar 1847 in Houma [1] and his probate was held 28 Oct 1850 Houma, Terrebonne Parish.[2] Similien BOURG died Mar 1847, married to Celeste NAQUIN, five children listed on application for inventory dated 28 Oct 1850.[3]
Jean Similiean and Marie Celeste Naquin, daughter of Jean Charles Naquin and Marie Madeleine Gabriel Leboeuf were married 10 Aug 1843 in Thibodaux, Lafourche Parish.[4]

No. 1138 Pgs. 273-275 4/745 On December 31, 1831 Louis LAMOUREUX, a merchant of Thibodauxville, LA, sold, ceded abandoned and delivered to Jean BOURG Jr., of Terrebonne Parish, a piece of land situated in this Parish, containing two and one-half arpents front, more or less, on each side of Bayou Terrebonne, with ten arpents depth, on each side, bounded below by land of Furcy PORCHE and above by land of Mathurin DUPRE, for $500.00, over time. Witnessed by Huberville ARSENAUX and Adolphe VERRET.
