War Pension files state that he lived in Rutherford County at the end of his life.; Maintained by Lanita SS (contributor 50904195). PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT the William Arnold, born 1759, NC and died in Georgia. This IS the William Arnold, born 1749, in Cumberland Co., VA and died after 1834, in Rutherford Co., Tennessee. He has been proven as the William Arnold who married Elizabeth Shelton. This has been proven beyond a doubt, but people are still mixing the two Williams up. DNA shows they were not even kin.

Biography

William death date is unknown, but he and his wife were last listed on the 1830 Rutherford Co., TN Census.

Arnold-5478 and Arnold-5389 appear to represent the same person because: same birth, parent, sibling, spouse, children, death

Henry Arnold, Sr. is presumed to have died in Stokes County, North Carolina. His wife's name had never been documented.

Arnold-5478 and Arnold-5389 do not represent the same person because: I received an e-mail from Valerie Simonton and she informed me that these have been proven to be separate William Arnolds.
