Rebecca Barnett was born 14 May 1812 in Mason County, Virginia, to William Barnett and Mary McGuire. She married Charles Stephenson.
On 29 August 1864, Rebecca and her husband sold their interest in the estate of her father for $50.00 to her brother-in-law William H. Tomlinson. In the deed, they were described as being of Delaware County, Indiana.[1]
She died 16 April 1887 in Delaware County, Indiana, and was buried in Bethel Cemetery.[2]

Her tombstone states that she died 16 April 1887 and was seventy-four years, eleven months, and nine days old when she died.
