Biography
Daniel was the son of Cornelius McGillycuddy and Catherine Chute.[1]He married Elizabeth Blennerhassett in 1784.[2]
He married twice, firstly to Elizabeth, second daughter of Conway Blennerhassett, they had no children.[3]
He married secondly to Sophia, youngest daughter of the late Barry Denny in 1811.[4][5] They had:[1]
- Daniel de Courcy, born 1814, married Lucinda Morphy and died 3rd October 1882 aged 68 from a revolver wound at Day Place Tralee[6][7][8]
- Arabella, who married Edward Morphy
- Sophia, who married Revd Henry Denny.
