Virginia was born in 1927. Virginia was the child of Tom Spencer and Ruby Finnell. Virginia passed away in 2015.^[1] She is buried in Chattanooga National Cemetery. With husband Emmett Allen Jewell.^[1]

Virginia Spencer Jewell, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, after an illness. She was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and was of the Protestant faith. She was the owner of two travel agencies, Star Travel and Executive Travel. She was a member of American Business Women and Valamont Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Thomas Spencer Sr. and Ruby Finnell Spencer; husband, E Allen Jewell. She is survived by her sisters, Beatrice Parrish, of Fort Oglethorpe and Alicia Brackett Henneker, of Chattanooga; brother, Rev William Thomas Spencer II; a niece, several nephews and great-nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, 2015 at the Highway 58 chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Dr. E. Charles Hyder officiating.
