Biography
Rosa was born in 1831. She was the daughter of James Minchin and Susan Mary Cherry.
She was Christened on 27 August 1832 at Saint Andrew, Farlington, Hampshire, England[1]
UK Census Date 1851: Living with her parents in Oakford, Devon, England. Aged 20 and single. Also in the household were her siblings Marion and Frances, nephews Henry and James Cotton, a Governess and three servants.
Her father died in 1860.
In the UK Census of 1871 Rosa was recorded as a Lodger in the household of William and Selina Firth at Harrogate, Bilton With Harrogate, Yorkshire (West Riding), England. She was aged 40.
Her mother died in 1875.
UK Census Event Date 1881: Recorded as the head of the household in Courtenay Terrace, Moreton-Hampstead, Devon, England. Aged 50 and single. Also in the household were two servants.
She passed away in 1884.
