Catherine was born in 1830. She is the daughter of Jacob Kuykendall and Marguerite Rayburn. [1] Catherine married her sister's widower Joseph G. Reasonover, before 1850. While no marriage record is found, in 1850 they are enumerated on the federal census in Panola County, Mississippi. [2] Neither Catherine nor Joseph have been located on the federal census in 1860 or 1870. In 1880, Catherine, widowed, is enumerated on the federal census with her children in Grainger County, Tennessee. [3] Catherine died 1881 in Tennessee.[4]
Research Notes
The Kuykendall history cited below gives Catherine's birth date as 26 Mar 1842. This is incorrect. Catherine married her sister's widower Joseph G. Reasonover prior to 1850. All records identify her as having been born in 1830, Alabama.
