Note: According to Kathy Naumann, Ann was the grandmother of one Charlotte Drucilla Tracy Naumann Graham who is also buried in that lot beside or near her. Kathy also uncovered these facts: in Fairfax County, Va. chancery records (a public file) were found which show that there was a case in 1848 where two slaves asked the court for their freedom. Ann Elizabeth Adams Hardin testified and signed the court record, corroborating that her father, Rev. Wesley Adams, had freed all of his slaves in a manumission document with tiered releases for each generation. The slaves were freed with the help of Ann who testified as to her father's good intent.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Ann by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Ann:
A private message has been sent to Shantay about the correct mother per dates for Ann Adams Hardin. I asked her to review the marriage dates for wives of her father Rev Wesley Adams which has determined the mother. I sourced several census records to further confirm birthdate of Ann Adams Hardin per FAG and which has placed her to her correct mother Ann Summers Adams. I also sourced a 1926 JSTOR article which confirmed Ann Summers as mother. This needs to be corrected prior to merging. Thanks!
