I appreciate some additions to some of the Chisum profiles. I am frustrated, though, because several mistakes were made. It has slightly convoluted the Chisum line on wikitree. A few examples I have found, I created a bio for Isham Russel Chisum. While you added several sources, you completely deleted the lengthy biography I wrote for him that detailed his Civil War service. You also made changes to correct a mistake that another person had made in reference to John Alexander Chisum III, John Chisum II, and Blind John Chisum. You removed Blind John Chisum correctly, but in doing so, you also removed John Alexander Chisum III from the Chisum line, completely severing that arm of the Chisum line.
Even though you have access to make these changes, I suggest you contact the profile owner before making changes to keep things like this from happening.
Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s VERY important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
