Hepzibah Davis was born on 5 September 1761 in Raymond, Maine^[1]. Her parents were John Davis and Mary (Elder) Davis^[2][3]

She married Isaac Barton on 12 January 1781 in Raymond^[4]. They had ten children^[5]:

1. Mary, born 13 Jul 1783; married Henry Jackson

2. Robert B., born 19 Oct 1784; died 1801

3. Dorcas, born 1 Aug 1786; married George Small

4. Ebenezer, born 19 Sep 1788

5. William, born 9 Sep 1790; married Nancy Emery

6. Hepzibah, born 13 May 1792; died 1820
