There is a possibility that her birth year is noted incorrectly in the 1860 census and that she is in fact the daughter from his first wife who is potentially Caroline.
Mary Jane Roberts birth date is listed as different dates in different documents:
1860 Census 1854, 1880 Census abt 1855, 1900 Census Jan 1854, 1910 Census 1856, Texas, Death Certificates 2 Jan 1845 Mother Maggard, Find A Grave 2 Jan 1959,
It is believed the correct date to be 2 Jan 1854, and her mother to be Elizabeth Maggard Roberts. The death certificate is probable a typo 45-54[1] and as for the headstone 1859? that is most likely incorrect as she was married in 1870 and that would only make her 11 years old when married.
In 1900[6] Mary confirmed she had 14 children with 8 surviving.
In 1910[9] Mary confirmed she had 13 children with 7 suriving

Roberts-22902 and Roberts-16009 appear to represent the same person because: Kristina, I found this duplicate profile of Mary J Roberts [Roberts-16009] while adding her spouse William Vaden. The profile was orphaned so I adopted it, I still need to be on your trusted list to merge it, or you can merge it. Thanks Gary
The two children are Mary's but need editing.
