Maynard Woods, 74, of Caryville, died Saturday at LaFollette Community Hospital. He was a member of Beech Fork Baptist Church and a retired school bus driver. He is survived by his wife, Verdie Ward Woods of Caryville; son, Maynard Woods, Jr. of Caryville; daughters, Mrs. Fred (Arvina) Farmer of LaFollette, Mrs. Ruby (Marie) Lawson of Caryville; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Georgia Lowe of Ohio and Mrs. Ella Patterson of Clinton. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Beech Fork Baptist Church by the Rev. Edwin Phillips. Burial was in Beech Fork Cemetery. Cross Funeral Home, LaFollette, was in charge of arrangements.
