Biography

The daughter of Henry Duke of Brabant and Marie of France, Elisabeth was first married in 1233 to Thierry of Cleves with whom she had a daughter Mathilde. Her second marriage about 1246 was to Gerard of Wassenberg.

In 1253 duke Waleran of Limburg gives Elisabeth, wife of Gerard of Wassenberg and sister of the deceased duke Henrik of Brabant a number of goods that Gerard had given him with consent of his oldest son, Gerard.[1]

Cawley's entry for her suggests she died between January 1260 and August 1266.
