Cyrus Snell was a Latter Day Saint pioneer.

Cyrus Phillips Snell was born on 7 November 1809 in Eaton Center, Carroll, New Hampshire, USA.^{[1] [2]}

Cyrus married Rhoda Barnes (born on 21 November 1815 in Sackville, Westmorland, New Brunswick, Canada; daughter of John W Barnes and Hannah (Dixon) Barnes).^[2] Their children were:

• George W. Snell (3 August 1833 – 19 November 1835)
• John Wesley Snell (5 October 1834 – 10 September 1911)
• George Dixon Snell (18 March 1836 – 12 May 1911)
• Cyrus Alma Snell (11 June 1838 – 5 August 1863)
• Rufus P. Snell (27 May 1840 – 9 September 1917)
• William Smardus Snell (26 December 1842 – 30 April 1889)

On 27 Aug 1854, Cyrus and his family immigrated to Deseret, United States as part of the Cyrus Snell Company, leaving Debuque, Iowa.^[3]

On 10 May 1866, during the Blackhawk War of the American Indian Wars, Cyrus enlisted in the Utah Territorial Military. He attained the rank of Private in Captain C. Monk's Company. He was discharged on 28 October 1866. ^[4]

Cyrus died on 6 September 1873 in Spanish Fork, Utah, Utah, aged 63.^[2] He was buried in Spanish Fork City Cemetery, Spanish Fork, Utah County, Utah.^[1]
