Biography

Marjorie Elizabeth Hudson was born on December 23, 1914, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Harry Edgar Hudson and Geneva Lottie Le Comte.^[1][2] She met her husband, Walter Acel Lapham, Jr., while they were both students at the University of Kansas^[3] and they were married on November 30, 1935 in Tulsa.^[4][5] They had two children during their marriage. Marge volunteered and served in leadership positions in many organizations. The couple and their children moved several times, but finally settled in Old Bennington, Vermont in 1958. She died at Albany Medical Center Hospital in Albany, New York on November 23,1979,^[6] at the age of 64, and was buried in Bennington, Vermont.^[7]
