Biography

Mary, daughter of John Jackson & Maria, was born on 30 December 1841 and baptised on 22 January 1842 in Fort William, Bengal, India.^[1][2][3]

According to her mother's profile, Maria Theodosia (Pattle) Jackson, she arrived in England in 1844 and they stayed with her aunt, Sarah Monckton (Pattle) Prinsep (1816-1887). It is not clear if she remained in England until she married in 1862. She has not been found in the 1851 England Census and no travel records have been found.

Mary (age 20), daughter of John Jackson, M.D., married Herbert William Fisher, son of William Fisher, Clerk, on 5 August 1862 in St Mary, Finchley, Barnet, England.^[4][5]

Mary (74) died on 24 August 1916 and was buried in St Nicholas Churchyard, Brockenhurst, New Forest District, Hampshire, England. Her estate passed probate on 25 October 1916 in London, England, and her son Edmund Montague Prinsep Fisher (1872-1918) was named as administrator.^[6][7][8]
