Biography
Sir James Drummond, 1st of Machany, was the second son of James Drummond, 1st Lord Madderty and Jane Chisholm. On 27 Jyly 1615 he received a charter from Henry Drummond of Ballock giving to him the lands of Auchtermachany in fee and to his father in liferent.[1]
He married Catherine Hamilton 7 March 1619.[2][3] There were nine children from this marriage:[4]
