Air Hostess and Occupational Health Nurse at Auckland International Airport, genealogist, of Takapuna, Auckland. In 1968 she was decorated with the British Empire Medal (BEM) for Gallantry, when a passenger aircraft crashed on the runway at Auckland International Airport.
Leila Mary Robertson was the only child of Frederick Humphry Robertson and Beatrice Mary Webster. She was born on 31 July 1915.
In 1939 she was maternity nurse training in Whakatane.
In 1953 she married John Alexander Moncur Niblock, without children. They were divorced in 1963 and she thereafter took her maiden name of Robertson by Deed Poll.
In the 1950s with her husband she "babysat" the children of her cousin, Frederick Edward Webster.
In the 1968 New Years Honours list she was decorated with the British Empire Medal (BEM) for Gallantry, for services when a passenger aircraft crashed on the runway at Auckland International Airport.
She corresponded with Marc Whitaker from 1989.
Her last residence was 1/1 Eldon Street, Takapuna.
She died on 23 March 2010, aged 94.
With her death in 2010 the descendants of Frederick Humphrey Robertson and Beatrice Mary Webster became extinct.
