Susan Alice Mace was born on November 24, 1851, in Guilford, North Carolina, United States,

She was the daughter of David Mace/Massey (1797–1861) and Susan Benbow (1820–1904)

At the time of her Birth, her father, David, was 54, and her mother, Susan, was 30.

Susan Married Alexander Spence in 1874. They had two children during their marriage.

Susan Alice Mace Spence Passed AWay on July 24, 1940, at the age of 88, and was buried in Crab Orchard, Nebraska, United States.
