Biography

Darius was the son of Isaac & Sarah Vorhees Montgomery, the husband of Elizabeth "Bettie" Childers Montgomery and the father of Nora Lue, John Frank, Samuel, Mae, Charles and Margaret "Maggie" Montgomery. Mr. Montgomery earned his living by farming his own land. He passed away from the effects of cardiac asthma, with a duration of two years.

Mt. Hebron-The funeral services of D.M. Montgomery were conducted at the church here Monday at 1 p.m. by Rev. D.F. Sebastian, interment in the family burying ground near here. Much sympathy is extended the bereaved family.

Mt. Hebron-Those here for the burial of Mr. D.M. Montgomery were Mrs. Rebecca Holtzclaw of Lexington, Mrs. Etta Suttles of Harrodsburg, Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Montgomery, Mr. John J. Montgomery and Mrs. Luther Peyton of Lancaster.
