Biography

Archibald (Stewart) Stewart of Castlemilk 1st Bt is a member of Clan Stewart.

Sir Archibald Stewart was the only son of Sir Archibald Stewart of Castlemilk and his wife Lady Mary Fleming.^[1]

Archibald married Mary Carmichael in Lanark, Lanarkshire on 2 September 1665.^[2][1]

Archibald was created 1st Baronet Stewart of Castlemilk on 29 February 1668^[1] and served as Member of Parliament for Renfrewshire from 1669-1670.^[3]

Archibald died before 2 July 1681 when his will was confirmed in Glasgow Commissary Court.^[4]
