Samuel Teel was a soldier in the Revolutionary Warm serving in Capt. Isaac Hall's company, marching from Medford by order of Gen. Washington at the time of taking Dorchester Heights in March, 1776. [1] [2] [3]

Samuel Teel Jr. was born in 1749 in Charlestown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, son of Samuel Teel and Elizabeth (Tufts) Teel.

Samuel married Ruth Walker on November 5, 1772 in Medford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. [4] [5]

Samuel died on February 25, 1832 in Medford, aged about 82. [4] [5]


Charlestown is the oldest neighborhood in Boston, Massachusetts. Charlestown became a city in 1848 and was annexed by Boston on January 5, 1874. With that, it also switched from Middlesex County, to which it had belonged since 1643, to Suffolk County. [1]
