The first ancestor was hailed from Kalakkal (????????) family at Vaikam. There is no much information about the next five generations, but around 20 persons were said to be split off from this family and started new families during these period.
The earliest known person in Kadavathanikkal family is KUNJAYYAN (?????????) who was the father of KUTTAN. The elder brother of KUTTAN had only one son named KUMARI [?????] who had started Pothamkudilil [?????????????] family in Veliyanad [?????????]. The mother of K A Kumaran was KUNJUPENNU [????????????] hailed from THURTHUVALAYIL [??????????????] family Thirumarayoor which was another family with direct ancestral relationship with kadavathanikkal family. A paternal half brother of Kunjupennu named Mr. KUNJU [??????] had also started family at Pothamkudilil Veliyanadu.
