Biography

Matthew was born in 1808. He is the son of Matthew Cowell and Mary von der Heyde. ^[1]

Matthew married Harriett Catherine Lambert Stone on 31 Jul 1833.^[2] They had at least two children. In the 1841 census ^[3] he is living in Faversham, Kent, England with his wife and two children: Henry (age 5) and Harriett (age 2).
