Biography

She was born about 1674 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts Bay and was the daughter of Nicholas Orchard.[citation needed]

John Guy & Anna Orchard Married By Mr. Sam. Miles on Sept. 6, 1701, Boston.[1]

Suffolk County Court of Common Pleas 3 July 1705. John Guy of Boston and Anna his wife formerly Anna Orchard brought a suit against Daniel Willard. On the 22d day of July 1700 Willard borrowed ten pieces of eight (3 pounds) from Anna while she was still single, but to date had failed to repay it. He didn't show up in court either. "It is therefore Considered by the Court that the said John Guy and Anna his said wife shall recover against the said Daniel Willard the sum of Three pounds money damage and Costs of Suits.[2]

There is a record in the Boston Thwing collection[3] The entry only mentions the marriage. However, on the next page is Robert Orchard who had known children (among others) Mary m. 1690 and Mehitable m. 1694. Anna m. 1701 would be a good fit.

John Guy and Anna Orchard had a son Orchard Guy b. 1702; and moved to Branford, Connecticut, where they are all buried.

She passed away about 1742 in Salem, New Jersey.[citation needed]

Orchard-1107 and Orchard-538 do not represent the same person because: The reason im not going to merge is there seems to be a confusion on who Ann Orchard really is. Further research needs to be done to say that they are one and same person. There has been some debate on who she really is.

Orchard-1107 and Orchard-538 do not represent the same person because: On has husband name the other does not have husband name so still can not do a merge sorry. This does not tell me they are the same person.

What do you mean it doesn't have a husband's name? It says in the biography clearly that she was married to John Guy. Her current last name is Guy. Please read the biography. Did you read the private message I sent? I'll add John as her husband. I hope that will satisfy you.

Apparently, someone decided that the marriage record of John Guy and Anna Orchard was really the record for John Jay/Joy. Which it isn't. I've added some notes for the real Anna Orchard.
