Hello again!

This week we have your last stop on the guided tour. We want to give you just a few more tools that can take you even deeper into the WikiTree forest without getting lost: How to Dig a Little Deeper.

As always, your questions are welcome!

Vicky Majewski ~ WikiTree Mentor

Hi!

You've probably been hard at work adding family members and getting connected to those that are already here. You should have at least a few profiles that you manage now. So, this week we're going to look at how to work with your Watchlist: How to Manage Your Watchlist.

Please let me know if you have any questions! I am happy to help!

Vicky Majewski ~ WikiTree Mentor

Jesse--

You've been here for three weeks now! We hope your profiles are starting to come together and that you've enjoyed getting to know all of us a little better. You're probably getting a good feel for the collaborative nature of WikiTree by now. We know that collaboration isn't always easy. So, we've put together a few pointers that can make working in this type of environment a little easier: How to be a Successful WikiTreer. As always, your questions are welcome!

Hi!

It's time for the next stop on your guided tour. This time, we'd like to introduce you to our community, show you some ways to get more involved, and recommend some ways to stay up-to-date on everything that's going on: How to Join in the Community.

If you have questions, use the "reply on" link under any comment to get to that volunteer's profile page. From there, scroll down to public comments in the right column and leave a message. Any one of us would be happy to help.

Jesse --

You've been here a week now, and we hope you enjoyed your first stop on your guided tour of WikiTree and were able to make good use of the things you learned.

Our next stop will give you some pointers on how to make your profiles stand out: How to Make the Most of a Profile.

As always, your questions are welcome!

Thanks for volunteering, Jesse! You are now a full member of the WikiTree community. Once you sign the Honor Code, you may start adding profiles.

Since WikiTree is different from other genealogy sites, we have a guided tour to help new members learn their way around. The first stop is How to Start Climbing Our Tree. Tomorrow, a Mentor will check in to see how you're doing and answer your questions. You'll get a message about the next stop on your tour next week.

To meet other WikiTreers, check out our G2G forum. Here's the G2G Question of the Week: What traits do you see being passed through your family?

Enjoy!

Hi Jesse,

Welcome to the WikiTree family!

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, which means that members work together as a single collaborative team. The Honor Code is our guide to keep everything functioning smoothly as we work on one BIG tree.

The initial email from us has links to get you started. When you confirm your email address, you'll have an option to volunteer to add information to WikiTree, beginning with tags for your own profile. Tags are how we keep up with new information on surnames, locations, concepts, etc.

If you volunteer, a greeter will confirm your membership, and you'll be on your way!

Carole

P.S. I'm always happy to answer questions.
