Nathan Veal was born between 1740-1750 [1] The DAR lists born Virginia. [2]
Nathan was a veteran in the American Revolutionary War, serving as a soldier under John Cunningham's company in the Virginia Militia. [3]
He had three children (William, Nathan and Edward) with his first wife, Julianne Harris, though her name is unconfirmed [4] and reportedly died prior to 1785. On August 18, 1785, he married Jane Milstead [5] and they had an additional two children, Synthia and George.
He passed away in 1833. He is the namesake of the Nathan Veal Family Graveyard, located at approximately 2300 Veal Rd, Sandersville, GA.[6]
