Biography

Joseph R. Stevens was born on 4 July 1809 in Georgetown, Sagadahoc, Massachusetts, United States, son of Thomas Stevens III (1767–1849) and Sarah (Grover) Stevens (1774–1850).[1]

Joseph and Arzelia Morgan were married. Arzelia was born on 2 December 1815 in Gloucester, Essex. She was the daughter of Nathan F Morgan and Isabella (Rowe) Morgan.

In 1855, Joseph (45) Stephens was living in Gloucester, Essex, Massachusetts. [2]

Joseph (50) and Abby M. (Spencer) Stevens (28) were married on 30 November 1859 in Vermont, USA. Abby was born about 25 September 1831 in Derby, Orleans, Vermont. Their son was Byron E Stevens (1864–1919).
