Daniel Rugg Jr.
Birth
Daniel was born, 29 May 1743, in Lancaster, Province of Massachusetts Bay. He is the son of Daniel Rugg and Sarah Wilder. May, 29, 1743, Daniel Rugg Junr. & Sarah his Wife. [1]
He passed away in 1830.

- ELIZABETH Divoll (908), b. in Lancaster, Mass., Mar. 4, 1746; m. Oct. 3, 1765, Daniel, son of Daniel and Sarah (Wilder) Rugg, b. in Lancaster, bapt. May 29, 1743. They lived in Lancaster, where he appears in the muster and pay roll of Capt. William Greenleaf's company and Col. Josiah Whitney's regiment. Entered service Aug. 22, 1777, discharged Aug. 26, 1777, company marched on alarm at Bennington, rank lieutenant. Daniel Rugg, Jr., appears in a list of officers of the Massachusetts militia as captain, 1st company, 2d Worcester Co. regt. (Col. Josiah Whitney) commissioned June 17, 1779. Daniel Rugg, Jr., appears in a list of officers to be commissioned as returned by Lieut. Col. Ephraim Sawyer and Maj. Silas Bailey, dated Lancaster, Mar. 18, 1776, rank 1st lieutenant, Capt. John White, Jr.'s (1st) company, Col. Josiah Whitney's (2nd) Worcester Co., regiment. Reported commissioned Mar. 30, 1776. Capt. Rugg d. in Lancaster, Apr 11, 1830, aged 87; Mrs. Rugg d. Apr. 8, 1834, aged 88, and their grave stones are standing in the Middle Cemetery in Lancaster. Children:
