Biography

Raymond Brown is Notable.

Raymond was born on 13 Oct 1926 and was the son of Clifton L. Brown and Margaret "Maggie" Morton. ^[1]

He was a renowned jazz musician. In 1947 he married singer Ella Jane Fitzgerald and they adopted Ella's nephew and named him Raymond Mathews Brown, Jr. Work kept the couple apart and they divorced in 1953, but remained friends and occasionally worked together. ^[2]

In 2002 he resided in Sherman Oaks, California. After having played golf, he died in his sleep on 02 July 2002^[3] before a show in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was buried on 09 July 2002 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Los Angeles, California. ^{[1] [4] [5]}
