Biography

Sabra was born 6 Dec 1795 in Masachusetts (probably in Tyringham, Berkshire County).^{[1][2][3] [4]} She is the daughter of Obadiah Wheelock^[5] and Esther (last name unknown).

Sabra married John D. Smith probably sometime before 1829 when her daughter Frances was born.^[6]

Sabra and John had at least two possibly three children:

1. Seymour (possibly from a previous marriage)^[6]
2. Frances
3. Esther

Sabra died 6 February 1874, her husband John died just seven days later. Both are buried in Floyd Cemetery, in Floyd, New York.^[1]

However, in the estate of Sabra Blackman, Sabra Wheelock Smith's niece, only the descendant of Seymour's sister Frances is listed. This may be an oversight or an indication that Seymour was a child from a previous marriage.
