Biography

Zebulon Gardner was born 1767, the son of Solomon and Jemima (Folger) Gardner, who emigrated from Nantucket to Barrington, Nova Scotia in 1764^{[1] [2] [3] [4]}

On September 1, 1786, he married Thankful Covel, the daughter of Timothy and Thankful Covel, who also emigrated to Barrington from Massachusetts^{[5] [3] [4]}, and their children included:

1. Gorham born June 27, 1787^[6], who died 1823^[7], and who married Elizabeth Dexter the daughter of Jesse Dexter^{[3] [7]}. Their children included:
   1. Keziah born June 9, 1813 ^[7] who married a Smith^[3]
   2. Sarah born April 1, 1815 ^[7] who married an Atkinson^[3]
   3. Stephen born September 28, 1817 ^[7] who died in 1845^[3]
   4. James Gorham born May 6, 1822 ^[7], who married Sarah Frost daughter of Jeremiah^[3]
2. James Covel born 1790 who married Elizabeth Snow, daughter of John and Hannah Snow. Their daughter Rebecca married Bigelow Smith^[3].
