Biography

He was born about 1769 in Virginia. [1]

A marriage license was issued on 30 Mar 1790 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia for Frances "Fanny" Spragens or Spraggins [2] [3] [4] [5] (b: 1777 VA, d: 1829) and was signed by William Spraggins and James Akin.

About 1795 he sold 170 acres in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. [6]

He was next found in Lincoln County, Kentucky.

By 1810 they were in Bedford County. Tennessee.

In 1812 he served in the Tennessee Militia under James Walker, as did his brother-in-law William Spragens.

He died about 1830 in Bedford County, Tennessee, USA. [7]

By 1850 his widow Frances had moved to Texas. [8]
